MANAGEMENT POSITIONS – Hiring Immediately!

Nursery Manager

An excellent career opportunity for a self-motivated, knowledgeable nursery man or woman with a desire to continue to grow with one of Kentucky's premier nursery and garden centers.

Responsibilities may include management of 10-15 nursery personnel, supporting landscape design/build department in the form of coordination, general staff support, ordering and sales of woody plant materials, troubleshooting plant problem and disease, training of staff, education and maintaining sales relationships with large existing customer base. 

Bachelor's degree in horticulture or related field and/or 5 years experience in the horticulture/green industry as a supervisor or manager required.  Arborist or nursery certification a plus.  Must be high energy with a positive presence and strong desire to interact with colleagues in a team oriented manner.  Must be committed to high standards of customer service and possess excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and management skills. 

Greenhouse Grower

A full time position with an emphasis on growing herb, vegetable and perennial crops.   

Responsibilities include scheduling and growing herb, vegetable and perennial crops from seed and cutting stage to retail finish.  Knowledge and practical application of IPM and ability to obtain Kentucky pesticide license required.  Responsible for the seeding, propagation, watering, pruning, transplanting and spraying of mentioned crops.  Qualified applicant must also be able to communicate and work in a retail greenhouse setting.  

Requires a fundamental understanding of basic growing practices.  A degree in horticulture or related field or equivalent experience in a professional greenhouse setting is required.  

Landscape Designer/Architect

An exceptional opportunity for a qualified landscape designer or architect to grow with a mid-sized company with a focus primarily on residential landscape design. 

Responsibilities may include landscape planning, designing, estimating, design presentation and overseeing the installation of design projects.  Must be committed to high standards of customer service and exhibit excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.

Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and/or landscape design or related field.  Previous experience and a solid, workable knowledge of woody plants, perennials and annuals may substitute for education.  

Landscape Foremen/Crew Leader

An exception opportunity for a qualified landscape foreman to grow with a mid-sized company with a focus primarily on residential landscape design & installation.

Responsibilities may include management of a landscape crew, and implementation of landscape design, installation/planting from start to finish, working with customers with regards to both small and large scale landscape installation. 

Experience as a landscape installation foreman, crew leader or member of an aggressive and successful landscape installation crew is required.  Must possess knowledge of plant & landscape materials and implement landscape site plans.  The following attributes are not required, but are helpful: pesticide certification, knowledge of mechanics or small engine operation/repair, bilingual (English/Spanish), experience in hardscape bidding and/or installation.

Also a MUST: good driving record, high energy with a positive presence & strong desire to interact with colleagues in a team oriented manner, a commitment to high standards of customer service, and excellent communication, organizational and management skills.

Greenhouse Assistant Manager

An exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated, knowledgeable individual with a horticultural degree and/or 3 years retail nursery experience with a strong knowledge of plants and lawn & garden products.  Excellent customer service skills are an absolute must.

Garden Center Assistant Manager

An exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated, knowledgeable individual with experience in visual display and merchandise presentation.  Must have strong creative, artistic and problem solving abilities and excellent communication & customer service skills

Nursery Operations Manager

An exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated, knowledgeable individual with experience in the area of nursery operations and a desire to continue growing with one of Kentucky’s premier nursery & garden centers.  Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or related field and/or 5 years experience in the horticulture/green industry as a supervisor/manager required and solid working knowledge of woody plant material.
