What's New for the Holiday's

Posted by kelly on November 30, 2011

Last weekend, a long time customer came in and was walking through our greenhouses full of FRESH (like just-cut fresh the other day) fraser fir Christmas trees ...

... as we were hanging them up and watering them.  In conversation, he told me that they had come with a specific intent...to "see and smell everything."  They had been painting their house and just had to get out.  I was glad to hear that Wilson's was their getaway.  It made me realize that after more than 20 years of different seasons, I still love each new season, each year.  And I still love the smells!  It's great to own a business that people consider their favorite place to go, their respite. Right now, it really is a treat to take it all in.  The scents of fresh greenery, the shimmer of lights on our decorated trees, the stunning look of our poinsettias; it's what makes us.  Over the years, certain things our customers have said stick in my mind.  At our Holiday Open House a couple of years ago, a little girl walked in the door with an astonished look in her eye.  I saw her look up at her Daddy and say, "This place just keeps getting better!".  I hope you'll find this to be true too.

I love to look around and shop as well. Every spring (early May) my husband and I buy a load of your plants for our deck and yard. Your plants are of very good quality. I wish I could buy more, but my budget does not allow me to do so!
I was born and raised in The Netherlands and lived with indoor plants and flowers all my life. I managed a flower shop when I was seventeen and went to school at the same time.
Plants make you feel emotionally and physically well, since they are colorful focal points as well as provide clean oxygen.
If I had plenty of money, I would be in your facilities every weekend!

Thanks,

Hendrika
